FERNHILL MYSTERY BUTTON CLUB
Just heard from Lynette Anderson regarding her newest Mystery Button Club project. This one is called Fernhill....28" x 28"....Starts early March. This will be a 9 month program like always. I will have fabric kits available for the project at $22.50 per kit and also DMC floss kit at $8.00. I have signed up for 20 pattern/button kits and have only 11 openings left at this printing time.

Posy Patch Quilt Class with Sandy Turner..... Saturdays, February 4 and March 3....10am to 4pm.....This is a two block quilt with optional scalloped border......Class fee $60.00
Finished size depends on your border size. Individual blocks finished size 12".....This is a pieced and appliqued (Machine or Hand) quilt....Your border choice will be the deciding factor of the colors you choose for your blocks. Sample in store.....
Bow Tucks Tote....Purse Class with Sue Snowdy.... Sundays 1-4 February 19th and 26th.....Class fee $30.00....Pattern available now...Sample in store.... 
We are also considering a Beginning Quilting Class on Wednesday nights ...5:30 - 8:30..... We hope to start in February.....If you are interested please call us ASAP so I can start

UFP Club start fresh again this year .....One project at a time this year....Each one you choose to finish there will be a $10.00 fee (even if it takes all year to finish)...I am not asking you to have it quilted to be finished this year.....I am more interested in you getting your tops done!!! If you come to UFP Club day and work on something else....YOU WILL BE FINED $10.00 (SUNDAY OR TUESDAY CLUB).....Also any supplies needed to finish the designated project will be given a 15% discount on Club day/night. UFP CLUB MEETS ON THE Second Sunday of each month (except in January) and the second Tuesday Night of each month.....See you there....

Happy December Stitching
Happy Stitching to all. I started this newsletter earlier today.....had it almost done when the phone rang.....went to answer....came back to finish and send;) then hit a wrong key and lost the whole thing:(..... Tried and tried to find it....NO LUCK..... So here we go again....
Hard to believe this year 2011 is coming to a end....This has been a very trying year for me and my family and I know it has been that way also for so many of you....Let's try and forget all that negative stuff and enjoy this Christmas season for the reason it is meant for....Celebrating when the kindness and love of God our Savior Jesus appreared....Thanks be to God our Savior for this indescribable gift of salvation....A Blessed and Merry Christmas to All....

MONTHLY MINI SERIES #5 for 2012
Happy Stitching....Now is the time for me to start sharing the new programs provided through Creative Patches to you. This monthly Mini Series has been very successful for two years and I am planning to continue it for another year. Signs up are being taken now as we start the program December 20th of this year.....I have to commit to numbers by the 1st of December so if you have not signed up yet please contact me to do so as soon as possible...
Table Stand used throughout the year is a $10.00 charge and the sign up fee is $10.00
Each monthly pattern, stand header, fabric and embellishment when necessary fee is $28.50 @ month.....This is a fast and fun project.....Can be done and finished within a couple hours.....
I am putting all the new programs on my web site also, so you can check them out there also....

All Around the Neighborhood.....This is a fun easy pieced project you can work on throughout the year.....It Starts January 2011 and is for 12 months. Each month you will get your pattern and a fat quarter to use in that block or in another block (your choice)....You will provide your own background fabric (you will need 2 1/4 yds total for the background and borders)....you can do this scrappy or all one color as the picture shows..... The sign up fee is $10.00 and the monthly fee is $10.00.....

Starting Monday Sept 12 for 4 Mondays (12, 19, 26 and Oct 3)....Sheila Davis will be starting her Geneology classes here at Creative Patches.....This class will be for beginners and/or intermediate students. The air waves are being installed on the 29th of August, so just bring your lap top and note pad to the first class and get started. Time of class is 10- 12 noon...Fee for the class series is $50.00 What a deal....You may find some long lost cousin you never even knew about....or even some info you may never wanted to know, but anyway it will be a fun and exciting new adventure....Please contact the store ASAP and register with Class fee ASAP so we know how many students to set up for....
Starting the second Saturday of each month (Sept. 10th) and so on...."The Scrapbookers" are coming to Creative Patches......9am to 9pm.....Space fee is $10.00 Any one interested contact Diana at 929-0284....Space is limited as much room (table wise) is needed for each scrapbooker....!!!!

I have decided to do the Block of Month "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" MY WAY.....I have started to receive some of the fabrics I will be using and hopefully I can get my first block done soon to give you a sample of where I am taking this BOM.......I also received a new BOM Pattern by The Quilt Company called "Little Red Barns". I will not be kitting this, but am getting much of the fabrics used in this quilt in the store during August/September.
This Month's Retreat time belongs to the '*Piggy Farm Family" August 26-28....;
I have had a Scrap booking group approach me to schedule a time once a month for "SCRAPBOOKING" We are starting it on the 2nd Saturdays of each month with the first time starting Saturday, September 10th 9am - 9pm....If you are interested please, please call me so I can let Diana know how many people to plan for....The fee for the day is $10.00 each time.....
Check the calendar for all the ongoing classes......I will update anything that comes up or is new..
Adult Ed with Bobbi Porter starts it's fall session here August 25 ....Open enrollment starts August 9th through the Adult Ed office or online .

It's cookie time for Jackson at this favorite Deli and favorite small table....I asked Pilar if he ate this one and she said "Yes". He is rather a fussy eater so I was surprised....Wonder what he will pick next week...

Alison and Jeff....A Stitching Schedule Update
What a great week it has been!!! First Jackson and his mom and dad came last Friday - Sunday. Then My beautiful Alison and her dad came on Monday and left today....We had not seen her for a few years. She has now graduated from high school and is off to college and in her own apartment...
Regarding Sunday, July 24th. The "Finish it Class" with Sandy Turner has been cancelled until August 21st...same time.
Open Sewing will still be available on Sunday....July 24th 9-4.....
Classic Quilters come in Friday and Saturday this week also for their Retreat time....

Stitched by Me Top Done and Stitching Update
A picture for you that are doing the Block of Month "Stitched By Me"...My top is finished.....had to do a little creating as my blocks would not go together as pattern was designed....Plus I added a little bit here and there....so it is a bit different, but isn't that what creating is about??? Hope you enjoy.
Just a reminder that this weekend is the "Third Saturday Club Retreat" We have 5 open spots if you are interested. Some are coming Friday day/night to make it a 3 day sewing time....Just let me know if you are coming.....We will find you a spot...

Have decided to do "Raining Cats and Dogs" BOM by Bunny Hill designs "MY WAY"...That means I will be kitting it with different fabrics than the picture shows. I have picked pinks, blues, browns and teals as my color choices instead of the grays....I will be starting it in September.....If you signed up and are still interested please let me know....If you did not sign up and are interested, please call me. MORE NEWS....AS PROMISED
Happy Stitching again.....Before I share with more new Block of Months starting in September I have a few other items to share....
First......The Nipomo Guild Luncheon and meeting on May 26th has to be CANCELLED due to the Church having some emergency repair issues......They are so so sorry....

Arriving this past week also were Batik Textiles new spring 1yd cuts ...These are some of the new batik fabric lines they will be sharing at Quilt Market next week.
Today from Anne Sutton I received a picture of her new BOM "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" she will be sharing this at Market also featuring her new line of fabric Puttin' On the Ritz"....
colors are in the greys, pinks and teals...As soon as more info is available I will let you know, but I AM doing this as a BOM.

Today was Block #1 of First Saturday for these next 14 months......I was not quite ready mentally, too much time off and also I have been trying to catch up on all the stores Block of the Months samples....I have them now all up and hanging in store and classroom.....Yahoo!!!!
Next month is Quilt Run weekend....Remember I am doing my own Quilt Run Special also,so come by the store during that time. I will be here.....Your First Saturday Block can be picked up anytime during the weekend......Also the First Tuesday Night pick up can be anytime until 6pm....There will be a retreat going on in the classroom, so pick up in store......
Here's wishing each and everyone of you HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY....Jackson and his mom and dad are here for the weekend to help me celebrate and my other son Jeff sent me a beautiful bouquet of roses today.....I AM HAPPY...!
I will be here around 10:30am tomorrow for sewing....I have a group of ladies coming to sew and the store will open at 1pm.....

First......The Nipomo Guild Luncheon and meeting on May 26th has to be CANCELLED due to the Church having some emergency repair issues......They are so so sorry....

Arriving this past week also were Batik Textiles new spring 1yd cuts ...These are some of the new batik fabric lines they will be sharing at Quilt Market next week.
Today from Anne Sutton I received a picture of her new BOM "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" she will be sharing this at Market also featuring her new line of fabric Puttin' On the Ritz"....
colors are in the greys, pinks and teals...As soon as more info is available I will let you know, but I AM doing this as a BOM. Now for more two more Block of the Months I will be doing starting September 2011

HAPPY MAY STITCHING
Happy May Stitching......Well another month has flown by again......Hope you all had a Happy Easter.....We had Jackson at our house, so you know I had a great one....This coming weekend is the "Seven Sisters Quilt Show" in San Luis Obispo.....Hope you are planning to attend...
Have a busy May schedule planned.....New fabrics always coming in......books and notions also. I am bringing in new Cosmo floss.....will still carry DMC, but because Bunny Hill Designs and Lynette Anderson use and recommend Cosmo Floss for their projects I am bringing some of the colors they use and recommend with their projects.....
I have all my 12 weight Sulky Blendable threads on sale for $3.00. A spool....wool floss for $.50......new books and patterns 50% off and a few precut items 50% off...
We changed Sandy Turner's "Around the Twist" class to May 14th 10-4......we still have openings.....call ASAP.
Sunday, May 15th from 1-4.....Cindy Lavery will be doing another Applique Technique class.....$20.00....supply list available when deposit it paid for class....
My new First Saturday Sampler starts this month of May.....It lasts for 14 months this time....It is called "Nifty Nine-Patch".....Color choices are Black/Tan, Blue/Cream Batiks, or Scrappy, scrappy, scrappy......Pre sign up is $10.00 and $5.00 per month or $8.00 if you miss.....Time choices for this year is First Tuesday night at 5:30 or First Saturday at 9am....

This month is "Girls Weekend Retreat" Saturday, Sunday and Monday....May 28, 29 & 30th.....Contact me if you are interested in attending.....
Also the Friday before (May 27th is available for Open Sewing for $10.00) if you wish to add another day/night to your sewing.....
May 26th will be the Nipomo Guilds's Annual Luncheon....All area guilds are invited, but they do need people to RSVP......They always put on a wonderful luncheon for you ladies......Wish I could attend.....
June 3, 4 & 5 is the annual Quilt Run Weekend......I plan on having many surprises that weekend also, so please remember to shop by here also that weekend.....Then on Sunday - Thursday following the Run, my "Friday Night Strippers (S.E.A.M.S.) come in for their annual Retreat......
